Seattle Asian Art Museum, The Royal Paintings of Jodphur

The Seattle Asian Art Museum hosted the opening night for its new exhibition of 55 paintings from Jodphur from the 18th and 19th centuries. The opening night included Bollywood DJs with performances of traditional dance to modern music. The crowd was amazingly diverse (young, old, all colors, the random indeterminate gender you see so often here). It was the closest I’ll come to visiting Buddha Bar in Paris for a while (Pandora station for Buddha Bar) but I LOVE this music.

Definitely go see the exhibit. The details in the works are unbelievable and the colors just amazing.
