<p>RSS had been hailed as the next next thing, but it failed to deliver. Is Tweeting the next incarnation &#8211; and one that seems to be captivating audiences?</p>
<p>As Leary concludes, though, social media is only as good as those who use the technology.</p>
<p>What are positive ways to promote the use of Twitter and the like?</p>
<p>-Fundraising drive for a radio station: hourly updates with links to contribute online</p>
<p>-Volunteerism drive for organizations for one-time events</p>
